Pointer Breed Information

The Pointer as a Show Dog

Considered one of the "flashiest" dogs in the Sporting Group, the Pointers' striking liver, black, orange or lemon with a white background is a joy to behold as he glides over the ground beside his owner or handler.

Most Pointers like being the center of attention and they certainly "stand out in the crowd" when in the show ring. Their sleek, short coat does not require the excess grooming time that some of his longer--haired cousins must have, and they are a very easy breed to care for, whether at home or preparing for the dog show ring.
